As this year is about to end, I turn a year older as well. I turned 21 just yesterday and I’m still overwhelmed with everyone’s birthday greetings and the surprises whether big or small, I appreciate every single one :) 

My cluster family surprised me first last Dec 6. It happened way advanced on my birthdate, totally unexpected! It was right after the La Salle Cluster Christmas Party that I planned to catch a late movie with a Beam & Kara when all of a sudden a bunch of my close friends came with a cake and bouquet in hand, singing a Happy Birthday song. I couldn’t even say a word at first. I was in total shock! :))

They even got me my favorite cake from Classic Confections! Banana Cream Pie. YUM.

All their heartwarming love letters for me written at the back of this cute Winnie The Pooh poster. Hihi. 

I was deeply touched by everything that they all said to me that night. Plus they all stayed up til past 2am to honor me. I can’t thank them enough for the effort :’) I love them all to bits! 

Not all of them made it that night for the surprise since it started right around midnight. My sweet and adorable Shobe Louie was supposed to be there so she made up for her absence by surprising me with another bouquet last Dec 9! She dropped by my condo with me expecting her to make kwento about something but I guess not! :)) 

When I flew back home to Cebu with my close blockmate Irene, we spent an afternoon hanging out at Hannah’s place, a fellow adver classmate of ours :) And surprise surprise, they gave me a 21 birthday cake! :) 

Then came my actual birthday with little surprises from my dear friends in Manila! :)

And from my celebrity friend Bea who made her FB PP our first photo together (if I’m not mistaken) haha! Still get kilig when I see it. I don’t know why :))

The midnight phone call from my brother, Adri and Kar. So sweet of them to call. I got all emotional when I heard their voices though :( I miss being back in the condo with all of ‘em. Also Chichi’s phone call really made me happy that afternoon :) We mostly just laughed throughout the entire conversation :)) Then right after dinner I met up with my close friends from gradeschool-highschool for coffee. It was the best way to end my birthday :) 

Also everyone’s text/twitter/BBM/FB greetings all made my day! EACH AND EVERY ONE :) As I look back on this year, I can’t help but get all emotional and teary-eyed with how God has used people from different walks of life make an impact in my life. I can’t imagine my 2011 without those friends. It wouldn’t be the same :)

Cheers to me turning 21! The age I’ve been waiting for. I claim it to be an awesome one yet! Better than my 20! :)
